Located high on the Drentse Hondsrug is an estate, like a luxurious oasis, nestled in a park with beautiful holiday homes, surrounded by forest and heath. Named The Fletcher Wellness-Hotel De Hunzebergen, the hotel is situated in Exloo and features its own beauty and wellness center with a sauna, swimming pool, Turkish steam bath, and tennis courts.
Renovation
How do you make the most complete hotel in Drenthe even more complete? That was a wonderful challenge for The Project Group, a co-creator of the Interior Group. After a careful analysis of all the parties involved, it became clear that the lobby, the restaurant, and the bar, as well as the large restaurant and breakfast room, needed to seamlessly connect with the surrounding greenery as much as possible. The strength of the Fletcher Wellness-Hotel lies precisely in its natural location with a focus on the 'wellness' and 'wellbeing' facilities they offer. The green from outside is brought inside through a beautiful color palette of green, beige, and brown. With many breathable, fresh, and 'clean' elements that are reflected in the wallpaper, the floor, the curtains, and the furniture.
Old and New Elements
Noteworthy is the beautiful mix that has emerged between the existing and new elements. With a new countertop on the bar, coloring of the existing paneling, and the reintegration of various 'old masters,' memories have been preserved and beautifully incorporated.
With the 'low dining tables' and lounge seating areas by the fireplace, a friendly and accessible whole has emerged where everyone can enjoy the coziness and the atmospheric look of the restaurant and the hotel bar. And when the sun shines, there's a lovely terrace where indoors and outdoors blend seamlessly.
Co-Creation
The Project Group has shaped this interior design. Through collaboration, cozy spaces accessible to a broad audience have been created. Mood boards were created after exploratory discussions, and the colors, materials, and furniture were determined. Below, you can see the end result. Create identity!
