Best Western Plus Hotel Haarhuis

100 Years Best Western Plus Hotel Haarhuis

Hotel Haarhuis has been in existence since 1918, boasting a rich history. The story of Hotel Haarhuis began as a coffee house in the heart of Arnhem. After World War II, the station area and the old city villa where Haarhuis was located were torn down. Thanks to the Marshall Plan, the "new" Haarhuis was built, just behind the site of the former city villa.

In 1985, Hotel Haarhuis joined the Best Western chain. In 1999, under the visionary leadership of Arjen de Vries, a major renovation was initiated. The current owner is the EHM GROUP. The 100th anniversary was a grand celebration, and today, Hotel Haarhuis offers 127 comfortable rooms, a spacious lounge, a charming restaurant (now known as Perron 5), and a rooftop bar with a phenomenal view and the ultimate toilet experience, all in the bustling heart of Arnhem. The comfortable hotel rooms were designed and conceived by Interior Group in collaboration with co-creators Keijsers Interiors and De Projectgroep.

The design goal for the room was to further explore the theme of "modern chic," with comfort as a top priority. With the aid of numerous mood boards, the choice was made for many natural materials with chic accents like velvet chairs and luxurious, eye-catching wallpaper. With this project, Interior Group was able to fully leverage the added value of both co-creators.

It's worth noting that Best Western Hotel Haarhuis was awarded the Winner Travellers' Choice Award, a recognition of the many guests for the hospitality of Hotel Haarhuis.

We can imagine that you might still be curious about the ultimate toilet experience. This is indeed an extraordinary toilet, located at a height of a staggering 18 meters. When you press the button for the "ultimate experience," you will be 'blown away' by spectacular light effects. Come and see!
